As You Like It

“As You Like It,” one of Shakespeare’s best-known and loved comedies, will be brought to The Homeschool Theatre Troupe stage this spring. Families will follow our heroine, Rosalind, as she flees to the Forest of Arden with her cousin Celia after being banished by her evil uncle. Disguised as a shepherd, she encounters Orlando, who is on the run from his own murderous brother.

On their adventures they encounter many memorable characters, like a real shepherd and shepherdess with their own romance issues, an exiled Duke and his posse, and the melancholy Jaques, who tells them “All the world’s a stage”. You’ll hear many more Shakespearean adages that you may recognize from everyday conversation!
