Event Details

Family.  Family.  Family.  What could be better than a family concert to ring in the holiday season?  You are in luck.  The Manassas Symphony Orchestra is performing at the Hylton Performing Arts Center on Saturday, December 4th at 3:30 in the afternoon.  The theme of the event is “Color and Light” featuring a fabulous indoor light and music show.  Just what the season ordered.

One of this year’s featured performers is the sensational Irina Lin.  You’ll be saying “I knew her when…” after you hear her serenade the audience with a lyrical flute solo of Charles Griffes’ Poem.  Irina is a gifted junior at Fairfax High School and has been playing flute for six years.  She has received recognition and awards for her performances in several flute competitions.

But wait, there’s more.  Irina also has a love and talent for art.  In 2018 she won the Notable Award in Bow Seat’s Ocean Awareness Art Competition (wow, that’s a mouth full}; an Honorable Mention for the 2019 Visual Arts in the Virginia Holocaust Museum competition; and achieved Honorable Mention for Painting and Drawing in the Rho Psi Scholarship Program in 2021.

This is a very talented young woman who uses her musical and artistic skills to communicate with the audience.  Come see Irina perform and be amazed.

The Manassas Symphony Orchestra is ready to light up the theater and welcome you and your families to ring in the holiday season with beautiful music, color and lights.  Peace and season’s greetings to you all.
