The Manassas Symphony opens its season featuring the brilliant David Pedraza, Principal Viola of the Symphony of the Americas in Ft. Lauderdale, playing William Walton’s Concerto for Viola. The concert concludes with the marvelous Symphony No. 1 in E minor by American composer Florence Price. The piece was the first symphony by a black woman performed by a major American orchestra.
