(formerly Celebration Singers)
Who We Are
Lake Ridge Chorale (formerly Celebration Singers) was established in 2010 as a 501c(3) non-profit organization. Our auditioned ~35-member adult choir, under the direction of Terry Stackley, consists of local musicians who emphasize both musical excellence and community service. We perform a variety of musical styles at free, seasonal concerts, and one hundred percent of the concert donations collected support three local charitable organizations. Currently, these charities are: ACTS (Action in the Community Through Service), providing a variety of services to Prince William County residents in need, the Kara Foundation, serving young adult cancer victims and their families, and HUGS (Help US Grow Strong), providing improved shelter, safety, and basic necessities for the homeless living in tent communities in Prince William County.
What We Do
Lake Ridge Chorale performs three concerts a year. Our Christmas Concerts are always a seasonal favorite and a great way to celebrate the holidays. Our Spring Concerts generally employ a theme, or feature a particular musical work or composer. We end each season with our Singers’ Choice Concert, which includes a variety of musical styles selected by the members of the chorale themselves. Additionally, Lake Ridge Chorale engages in multiple revenue generating activities to defray operating expenses, such collecting membership dues, holding restaurant fundraisers, and applying for arts grants. We also sell program ads, White House Christmas ornaments, and tickets to a Potomac Nationals game.
Who We Serve
Lake Ridge Chorale serves the general population of Prince William County with special emphasis on the communities of Lake Ridge, Woodbridge, Dale City, and Manassas. We perform our concerts at Old Bridge United Methodist Church, and also maintain a special relationship with the retirement community of Westminster at Lake Ridge, where we hold our weekly rehearsals as well as provide an additional performance of each concert given during the season.
